隨著整個行業(yè)的利潤從去年疫情導致的能源需求崩潰中恢復，同行TotalEnergies和挪威Equinor也宣布了股票回購。
截至格林威治時間08:50，殼牌在倫敦交易的股票上漲超過3.5%，表現(xiàn)優(yōu)于同行BP和TotalEnergies。
殼牌首席執(zhí)行官Ben van Beurden在一份聲明中表示：“我們今天正在加強股東分配，增加股息，開始股票回購，同時我們繼續(xù)為能源的未來投資。”

除了更高的燃油價格外，殼牌的營銷部門（擁有世界上最大的加油站網(wǎng)絡）的更高利潤也推動了業(yè)績，主要受咖啡和零食的銷售大幅增長支撐。
殼牌首席財務官Jessica Uhl表示，全球燃料需求為疫情前水平的90-100%，但航空燃料消耗仍然疲軟。

Shell's 2Q Profit Jumps to Two-year High
Royal Dutch Shell boosted its dividend and launched a $2 billion share buyback program on Thursday after a sharp rise in oil and gas prices drove second-quarter profits to their highest in more than two years.
As profits across the industry recovered from last year's pandemic-led collapse in energy demand, peers TotalEnergies and Norway's Equinor also announced share buybacks.
Shell's London-traded shares rose by over 3.5% by 0850 GMT, outperforming peers BP and TotalEnergies.
"We are stepping up our shareholder distributions today, increasing dividends and starting share buybacks, while we continue to invest for the future of energy," Shell Chief Executive Ben van Beurden said in a statement.
Adjusted earnings rose to $5.53 billion, the highest since the fourth quarter of 2018, exceeding an average analyst forecast provided by the company for a $5.07 billion profit.
That compares with earnings of $638 million a year earlier.
Apart from higher fuel prices, stronger profits from Shell's marketing division, which houses the world's biggest network of petrol stations, also boosted the results as sales of coffee and snacks jumped.
Shell Chief Financial Officer Jessica Uhl said that global fuel demand was at 90% to 100% of its pre-pandemic levels, but consumption of aviation fuel remained weak.
